Already, people who love green spaces should be able to fall in love with the nation’s capital. There are so many parks and public areas to choose from, from Meridian Hill Park to Rock Creek Park. Next to the Metropolitan Branch Trail (MBT) and north of the New York Avenue bridge, there is a vacant, green space, known as NoMa Green. Recently, new plans were finalized for the area to eventually become a space for children with a playground as well as a space for dog owners with a dog park. Read more.
NoMa is expected to get a new park, half of which will be for dogs and half of which will be for children with a jungle gym-like structure included. Greater Greater Washington reported that the park will be located at the corner of Third and L streets NE. Read more.
